    Description

    In order to bring out the beauty of rock paints, only natural rock paints are used. The hair sparkles as it uses rock black made from azurite, malachite, and cinnabar. The accessories the woman wears were painted with a powder called gofun and then completed with the use of a gold mud. The moon depicted on the back is pasted with a silver foil and painted over and over again. Beniko Choji drew this painting with the theme of the importance of the moment when something is born and disappears in mind. From the contour line, she was particular about drawing the line carefully with a wish for each hair one by one.

    Concept

    Unconsciously, people seek warmth and discard unwanted emotions. However, the reason why I can smile and feel warmth and happiness now is because I have felt the opposite feelings somewhere.
    I want my work to be something that each viewer can take in their own heart and complete.
    I try to eliminate color as much as possible, and there is nothing in the background. By depicting an expressionless female figure, I create a space for the viewer's emotions to enter, and I hope that someday the heart that was there will become a little more solid.
