The 31st All Japan Art Salon Painting Grand Prize Exhibition "Excellence Award" winning work, hand-finished in colored pencil. This is a sequel to the previous year's work that won the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award. The day of the Great East Japan Earthquake, March 11, 2011, was a Friday afternoon... If I had waited for approval and permission from the government offices for relief supplies and support, it would have been Monday or later after the vacation. In fact, without obtaining permission, the Osaka Transportation Bureau was prepared to take the blame and loaded a city bus full of relief supplies and left Osaka for the disaster-stricken Tohoku region as quickly as possible. The staff members of the Osaka Transportation Bureau were grateful for the relief supplies they had received from all over Japan after the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. This quick action saved many victims in Tohoku. We depicted the spirit of the Osaka Transportation Bureau employees who were quick to rush to the scene with a mountain of relief supplies, sparing no time to wait for approval from government agencies❗️Thank you, Osaka❗️.
