While traveling through Iceland, I was blown away by the colors of the glacial lakes. They made me so happy that, when I got to my studio again, I put the white and blue paint at front. The colours in this painting are by no means a representation of Icelandic glacier colours, but came from them as a source of inspiration. This minimalistic painting depicts a vast, spacious world, with a pleasantly quiet beauty in it. Actually also a world in which you can get lost, if you want, where time stands still.
