There is something fascinating about birds. Not just their ability to fly, but also the way they behave, their alien look, the beauty of the pattern of their feathers.
I saw wild pelicanos for the first time during a trip to Chile, in the coast of Antofagasta. It was a true experience to see them cut the air with their majestic figure, the power they transmitted in their flight. The coast of Antofagasta is a very peculiar place, with the blue of the Pacific Ocean on one side and the earthly tones of the desert just a few meters away of the shore. Not specially beautiful, but one could feel this sense of wilderness that I so often miss in everyday life.
