I mainly use Mitsubishi uni and Hi-uni pencils, which I have been familiar with since childhood. The paper is Watson watercolor paper, which has a moderate softness that is not only suitable for my technique of making marks on the paper when painting, but I also like its natural and soft colors, which I often use.
I often find myself moved by the wishes and longings of imperfect things, and I wanted to capture that kind of brilliance in this work. I wanted to create a picture of that kind of brilliance. However, if each small light that is created while trembling is completed in such a way that the artist thinks it is beautiful, then that small light may remain inside of him or her. I created this work while imagining such things. My drawing method is a unique technique of layering vertical pencil lines. The strength of the sharp, hard lines when seen up close gives a sense of soft warmth from afar. When drawing on the theme of the heart, I try to keep an objective point of view with a touch of irony and humor to avoid falling into self-absorption. The resulting works are monochrome, but they evoke a variety of emotions and expressions, drawing out the imagination of each viewer. Framed size: 40 x 33 x 2.5 CM
