Kosai" No.1345 Nagasehana Lighthouse, Ikitsuki Island, Hirado City, Japan. Nagasehana Lighthouse is located on the way to Sunset Way on the west side of Ikitsuki Island. It is a superb view point of the sea and the sky for those who know. The lighthouse's all-tiled appearance is beautiful, reflecting the surrounding light colors. (On-site sketch) Oil crayon (oil pastel) on watercolor paper This work was started in 2004 and completed in 2024. The original painting method (KOOSAIHO) uses oil pastel crayons in the eight colors of the rainbow (rainbow + red/purple), plus white, for the nine colors of the rainbow. The result is a painting technique that attempts to approach the deep colors of the natural world. The red bridge that crosses the northernmost point of Nagasaki Prefecture in Kyushu, Japan, is the Hirado Bridge. The red bridge that crosses Hirado Island is the Hirado Ohashi Bridge, and the island of Ikitsuki is across the sky blue bridge. I fell in love with the nature of this Ikitsuki Island and am currently in the process of opening a gallery in the northernmost part of the island (2024.9). All of his works are one-of-a-kind. The impression changes depending on the place (light source) where you look at them due to the layering effect of rainbow colors.
