I am currently working on oil paintings with a focus on realistic expression. Layer Drawing" is a series of works in which I extract "lines" and the "layered structure" of oil paintings from my usual production process. The artist creates boundaries using lines discovered in the process of production, expressing the interior in a realistic manner and the exterior in a layered structure of colors. The word "drawing," which is also in the title of the work, can be understood in slightly different ways by the artist and the viewer. For me, drawing is "extracting and developing the elements that make up something. A single pencil line to compose a drawing is fascinating, or a color on a palette mixed to depict skin color looks cool. We hope that this work, which picks up such small everyday impressions and puts them on the canvas, will help you find your own unique impressions and ideas about drawing.
