Oil on canvas. The setting of the painting is 8HOTEL CHIGASAKI in Chigasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture. The hotel pool, tucked away in a residential area, looked very attractive and special. I painted a woman relaxing languidly in this special atmosphere. This somewhat unrealistic painting takes us to an imaginary world. I used the unique blurring technique of oil painting to express the shimmer and depth of the water's surface, and I drew a solid outline of the figure to create a sense of perspective with the background. In order to create the atmosphere of moving water, I painted over and over again, shifting the painting. This unique atmosphere, which is not that of a normal oil painting, is characteristic of me, who has been painting with acrylic paint for a long time.
