The painting depicts the author’s interpretation of the well-known myth about the abduction of Europe by Zeus. The work is devoided of minor details that could divert the viewer's attention from its two main characters: Zeus in the form of a bull and Europe in the image of a girl. A powerful blue bull with golden horns on its back holds a thoughtful girl in a turban. Background solved by expressive abstract spots.

Lana Korolievskaia is an artist from Ukraine. Her paintings and graphics, regardless of their topic (landscapes, still lifes, portraits), imbued with deep symbolism and inspired by admiration for the diversity of forms of beauty in our world. Key themes of her oeuvre art are time, fantasies, mystic, mythology, philosophy, fairy tales. Lana wants to teach spectator to look and see the beauty of habitual things, to feel the magic of nature and universe. For example, if I draw portrait I strive to express the inner world of human, to show the movement of thoughts in his head.
