When we hear the word “hedgehog,” many of us immediately think of a picture from a children’s book in which a cheerful family of hedgehogs drags mushrooms pinned onto needles into a hole. In fact, hedgehogs are cunning and intelligent predators who willingly feed not only on mushrooms and berries, but also on anything they can find. Or whoever they manage to catch. As a child, my daughter often brought hedgehogs home and hoped that they would live with us. We fed the guest, cleaned him of parasites, and he ran back to his home, well-fed and clean.
Miniature from the series of works "Portraits of wild animals in miniature". Made on canvas with oil paints of the professional series "Master class" from the factory "Nevskaya palitra". Framed in Italian plastic. Behind a special device (hanger) for hanging on the wall. Single and original author's painting.
The small oil painting depicts a hedgehog in a realistic style. The hedgehog is depicted in its natural surroundings, among green leaves and grass. His needles are depicted with great detail, creating a sense of reality and volume. The hedgehog's eyes are full of expression, and his cute facial features give him a unique character. Every needle, every antennae, every fold on the hedgehog's face is worked out with special attention to detail, which makes the picture surprisingly realistic.
