Landscape of Auvergne, France.
The view from my studio is an inexhaustible source of inspiration. Here, I was captivated by the imposing majesty of the clouds. They rise in thick cumulus formations, almost tangible in their voluminous density. The twilight light floods the sky, bringing to life the delicate shapes of the clouds. The light not only illuminates but also sculpts the volumes, adding depth and a tangible dimension to the ephemeral nature of the clouds.
The mountains and hills, darkened by distance and shadow, form a striking contrast with the luminous softness of the sky. This contrast between the celestial light and the shadowed earth creates a fascinating visual dialogue, emphasizing the sense of vastness and tranquility.
In this painting, I attempted to convey an emotion, a suspended moment where nature seems held in silent contemplation.
The white finish on the sides of the canvas allows for hanging without a frame if you wish.
