This is perhaps a rather unusual butterfly farewell story. Each of the characters observes the butterflies in a different way. Some with delight and admiration for their beauty, others with sadness, thinking of the brevity of their lives, still others with envy of their ability to fly. What feelings do you have when you observe butterflies? And what do butterflies think of us? My only motivation for painting is the pleasure I derive from it. I feel at ease with my characters, who are gentle, kind, flirtatious and above all very human. My characters are timeless, sympathetic and often thoughtful. Everyone is thinking about something personal. And the viewer will find something close to them in the picture.
