This one-of-a-kind original painting is made in oil on stretched canvas, 30x40 cm (12 x 16 in). Varnished with gloss acrylic varnish and signed at the back and front.
Impasto brush strokes have been applied to create this painting - which means laying paint thickly on the canvas, creating a three-dimensional texture. It adds depth and volume, making the artwork more tactile and visually exciting.
Unframed.
The artwork does not necessarily need a frame as its sides are painted - it will look great on the wall the way it is!
It will be shipped using a highly secure packing method, in a sturdy cardboard box, carefully protected with multiple layers of bubble wrap.
Certificate of Authenticity is included.
The artwork belongs to the series "Cats and Greece: in reality and dreams". A glimpse of a beautiful, warm yet slightly sad evening in Greece, with a lonely old mill looking from the cliff at the horizon which is hiding in the evening haze.
The media I use as an artist vary from acrylics to oils, from smooth textures to structure paste - but the message is the same: sticking with the timeless is the ultimate recipe for happiness. Celebrate the here and now, be fully present in the moment. This is a very simple yet powerful philosophy that I am trying to transmit through my works.
