Description

In the work I tried to understand how the environment in which I grew up influenced my coming of age and my personality. I tried to recreate a kind of universal yet personal and predominantly feminine figurative language. And - how many times already! - I notice with a surprise that none of the images emerge from the others, and that the exhibition as a whole carries contradictions that are still looking for a resolution.
This painting was part of my personal exhibition in Draakoni gallery, Tallinn, Estonia in July 2023.

Concept

I am intrigued as an artist by forwarding my ideas and thoughts with their initial content and meaning. How to relate to an object the way the viewer would perceive it as an abstract form, irrespective of his or her personal associations and not giving it either positive or negative evaluation? In my paintings I depict various objects and images as part a composition the way they also express in real life, serving as small parts of a big system. There are no such concepts as „good“ or „bad“ for the universe – every phenomenon of life is just a part of it.

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
