Description

This painting is dedicated to the element of Fire. Fire is dualistic. On the one hand, it is a warming and creative energy. The fire brought by Prometheus gave people warmth and comfort. But in its nature it is a wild, unbridled force that can destroy everything in its path. Therefore, any careless action can lead to irreversible consequences.
Flame is the blazing blade between creation and destruction of the very essence of the universe.
In the painting, the Flame is expressed through the figure of a red-haired woman in a red dress. Thus, I wanted to show the connection between flame and love because love also warms and incinerates at the same time.
This painting was in the artist's personal exhibition Quintessence at Chernivtsi Fine Arts Museum, Ukraine, 2022.

Concept

I am a Ukrainian professional painter, photo artist, decorator, and designer from the city of Kyiv.
Now I live and work in Chernivtsi, Ukraine.
My painting can be classified as a modern symbolism and fantastic realism.
Many of my artworks have deep philosophical overtones.
I like to play with meanings, reinterpret of ancient myths, and hide riddles in images.
The process of creating one figurative painting can last more than a month because it requires the application of many layers.
I also paint still lifes that have a surrealistic feel.
Art is my life. I will create until my last breath.

Does this art work need a frame?

In many cases, art works with a canvas stretched over a wooden frame can be displayed as is. Thin art works other than canvases are easier to frame. For any questions or concerns please chat us.

What kind of hardware should I use for hanging the artwork?

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
