    Description

This abstract canvas measuring 90x80 cm is an embodiment of deep emotions I experienced upon learning about the devastating bushfires in Australia in 2019. As I embarked on creating this artwork, the image of the entire Australia engulfed in flames and smoke appeared before my inner eye. All that was peaceful and alive on this continent seemed threatened to me. All I could do was attempt to express this surge of emotions through my brushes and paints.

The predominant color of the painting is red, symbolizing the infernal blaze of the fires that devours nature and everything in its path. Through the shades of black and yellow, the smoke and ash become apparent, filling the sky and reflecting the horror of the event. The orange accents add vibrancy to the painting, as if the glow of the fire is piercing through thick smoke.

This artwork carries profound meaning, reminding us of our vulnerability in the face of the mighty force of nature. For a collector, it becomes a unique piece of art capable of evoking deep internal empathy and prompting contemplation about ecological questions and the fragility of our world.

From an expert art historian's perspective, this painting makes a strong statement that resonates with viewers. It portrays not only the destructive power of fires but also the human aspiration to overcome adversity. The attention to detail and skill in conveying emotions make this piece valuable for a contemporary art collection. I believe that this painting will infuse the collection with profound significance and initiate important dialogues about our role in preserving the environment.

    Concept

When I look at my artistic journey, I see an opportunity to synthesize a broad educational background and a rich experience. My academic accomplishments, including two higher degrees and a doctoral degree, have enriched me with a unique perspective that I aspire to embody in my artworks. With a decade of experience as a psychologist, I regard the canvas as a platform to express profound emotions and human psychology.

My path as a psychologist merges with artistic ambitions, infusing my works with a distinctive depth and multifaceted nature. Working as a university educator, I've discovered a harmonious interplay between education, creativity, thinking, and expression.

My travels to museums around the world, exploration of artistic materials and drawing techniques, as well as immersion into various cultures, have added vibrancy to my creations. In every brushstroke, I strive to convey the unique energy I've sensed while exploring the world in its various manifestations.

Each canvas becomes a bridge between my experiences as a psychologist and an artist. I aim to create artworks that breathe life into moments of self-reflection and inner experiences within the viewers' consciousness. My goal is to adorn the world not only with visual beauty but also with art that enriches the soul, deepens thoughts, and contributes to understanding oneself and the surrounding world.
