    Description

The little ballerinas, having arrived a bit early for their lesson, are cheerfully hopping around the barre. Joy, enthusiasm, a moment of pure happiness – these are the emotions that lend this painting its unique character.

This large piece, in subdued shades of blue, is an excellent fit for a spacious room, infusing it with a sense of carefree joy and childlike playfulness. The painting serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of relishing every single moment in life.

The canvas of the painting is stretched over a wood frame, with the sides painted in a uniform colour. It is ready for hanging, however we recommend framing the painting first in order to reveal its true beauty.

    Sold without a frame.

    Concept

Free, rough brushstrokes intertwined with a sensitive and sincere narrative embody the unique harmony of opposites that defines my art.

My aim is for my paintings to be vibrant, transparent, and evoke positive emotions. I exclude pure black from my creative process, opting instead for a palette of lighter tones and brighter colors, painting with oil on canvas.

The wet-on-wet technique lends spontaneity and energy to my work. With this method, the main layer of the painting must be completed before the first strokes begin to dry. While the paint remains wet, I can easily introduce new colors, alter shapes, and blend objects and their edges. My work process is dynamic, often unfolding in unexpected ways. I revel in the fact that the end result is always unique, infused with my thoughts and emotions at the time. The limited timeframe for completing each piece pushes me to work precisely, minimize errors, and fully immerse myself in the process.

The scope of my paintings is broad, encompassing still life, animalism, and figurative art. However, I find the most enjoyment in painting portraits. I am captivated by how the rough strokes of a palette knife (mastichin) magically transform into living individuals, each with their own personalities and moods.
