This oil painting was exhibited last year, 2023, at the Château de Clos Lucé, France (Leonardo da Vinci's final residence). It resonated with da Vinci and was given its aura and returned. I painted onions hanging to dry. I tried to faithfully depict the various colors and shapes of the onions in different places. I think I was able to create an image of what it feels like to touch an onion. For the background, I used black for the periphery and yellow ochre for the center to depict this shape to create the theme of the birth of life. My father and I have a vegetable garden, and I painted this as an expression of gratitude to him, food, and respect for nature.
