During one of my summer en plein air sessions, I was going up the emerged bed of a stream with my equipment when some rocks caught my eye, and I stopped to paint them. I could have gotten closer to have a better look at what I saw underneath or inside them, but I preferred to leave it to my own and other people's imagination.
I liked the result of the first layer very much so, contrary to what I usually do, I didn't continue after it dried, and I didn't go on painting with glazes.
This painting is made on a plywood poplar board, prepared by the artist with traditional "gesso" primer made of rabbit-skin glue and Bologna gypsum. After complete drying, it was finished and protected with final varnish.
It already has a hook and can be hung with or without a frame.
It is sold without a frame.
The certificate of authenticity is included.
