The painting “Klyazma” was taken from nature.
This work is very personal for me, as my grandmother lived in this place and I spent a lot of time there in the dacha. I really wanted to capture this place as similar as possible to preserve it for my memory. It was done for a reason, since we have now moved from there to another country, and this landscape has become even more significant as a symbol of a cozy home, albeit temporary, which is kept inside us.
I eventually came to the conclusion that the image of home we carry within us and wherever we reside, we create it by ourselves.
