In the painting “One Commandment”, Elena Rufova creates her own image of this main event in the history of mankind. In the picture, Ruf Paradise is presented as an endless space the sky in which the tree "grows". Adam and Eve are depicted by the artist at the moment when they from this infinite space approach in flight to the Paradise tree. The top of the tree is a radiant sunny expanse with a red apple in its branches.
The powerful roots of the tree are connected to the top with a thin trunk ... Adam and Eve are young. Eve holds on to the trunk with both hands, she does not "see" the top of the tree, Adam gestures hands calls her to climb to its summit.
