The painting "Lilies, Your Move" was presented at two exhibitions. The picture itself was painted in the summer, when Lilies were blooming in the garden. They have large lias and petals, which are well stitched with chess. The lilies, like the chessboard, are very decanters. The still life is painted in warm colors, where a contrast between light yellow and dark brown colors can be seen. In all artist’s works^ we can see lemon yellow color.
There is a drama in the composition of the still life, as the author of the work believes that nature and human mind cannot find harmony between each other.
Nature in the form of flowers in this picture takes most of the space. It is the main character here, hence the name: "Lilies, Your Move"
In the composition, Lilies stand on a chessboard, as it were making a move.
Chess is a game of the mind and in order to win, you need to be able to calculate several moves ahead, analyzing the opponent's actions, but a person cannot figure out the course of nature.
There is time in this still life - it is shown in the form of flowers. They are depicted unblown - the buds are blooming and fading. There is no image of a human in the painting, but it is invisibly present as a chess player.
