This coastal painting represents abstracted movement of an ocean’s surface playing with modern tones and light and shadows of water. The edges have been painted brown to create a faux frame or so no exposed canvas is seen under a frame.

Alanah Jarvis, an Australian water artist, has gained global recognition for her exquisite oceanscapes and rainscapes. Her oil paintings have been commended for their ability to capture the essence of rolling movements and the interplay of light on the surface, evoking a spiritual and abstract reality. As a former Scuba Instructor, Alanah strives to impart a sense of tranquillity and serenity that emanates from being in, on, under, or near water.
