Love and grief may come and go just like the rain, it can be a reminder of times spent with loved ones gone or the precious ones we still have
Rain is so many things to different people, it has spiritual meaning, can be the ideal excuse to wrap yourself in a blanket with a mug of your favourite drink, or for my grandmother, it was a time to get into the garden. It can be an inconvenience or something to dance in.
Rain can be devastating or something to celebrate and will always play an essential role in our existence which is simply fascinating.
This painting although realistic, has an abstract feeling to it with the blurred lines in the background behind the raindrops. The edges have been painted navy to create a faux frame.

Alanah Jarvis, an Australian water artist, has gained global recognition for her exquisite oceanscapes and rainscapes. As a former Scuba Instructor, Alanah strives to impart a sense of tranquillity and serenity that emanates from being in, on, under, or near water.
