“God is great - and the forest is greater,” says ancient Indian wisdom. The forest can easily hide what is not intended for prying eyes. Its thickets are like reliable walls, not everyone can penetrate them.
Perhaps this tree grew here at a time when the Indians did not meet white people. From under its roots one day the waters of a global flood flowed, bringing destruction and purification to the proud tribes. The survivors were saved on the branches of this tree. To find out whether the water had subsided, seeds and fruits were thrown down.
Or is it a tree that connects the heavenly, earthly and underground worlds. At the foot, a toad, a snake and a jaguar lived peacefully in holes, and a squirrel scurried along the trunk, carrying news between Heaven and Earth.
Or maybe... maybe the secret should remain a secret, kept forever by the thickets of the tropical forest.
