    Description

Take a journey through time and maritime history with my latest masterpiece from the Ocean Liners & Fine Art series. In this breathtaking oil painting, the cargo ship RMS Carpathia takes center stage, teetering elegantly in a busy cargo port Fiume (modern Rijeka, Croatia), as she prepares to embark on her utilitarian yet legendary voyage.
Against the backdrop of the industrial equipment of the port and the hard work of the workers, RMS Carpathia becomes a beacon of maritime significance. Its black body glistens in ambient light, reflecting its surroundings. A bright salmon-colored chimney towering above the superstructures serves as a bright accent to the surrounding scene. Amidst the organized chaos of cargo loading, a moored vessel is an unshakable testament to the symbiosis of functionality and elegance.
The port comes to life thanks to the tireless work of cargo cranes, each of which is a monolithic structure, captivating with the strength of metal lattice structures. A patch of turquoise sea on the right side of the picture creates a serene contrast, it heralds the upcoming embrace of the majestic journey that awaits RMS Carpathia, which will soon cross the transatlantic waters.
This painting, immersed in history, pays homage to the origins of the Cunard Line ships that defined an era. RMS Carpathia, a steadfast leader among its competitors, epitomizes the combination of cargo capacity and passenger comfort that defines transatlantic transportation. Powered by "conventional" steam engines, the ship boasted a lasting legacy amid emerging turbines.
Most notably, the heroic RMS Carpathia is known for turning around when she answered a distress call from the doomed Titanic in 1912. This act of valor cemented his place in maritime history, intertwining his fate with that of the ill-fated ship.
However, there is more than one chapter in the history of RMS Carpathia. After moments of glory, the ship took a more relaxed path, eventually succumbing to the devastating effects of the war. His death from the impact of a German submarine was a bitter end for the ship, which personified courage and resilience.
In this painting, I invite you to experience the fusion of past and present as the RMS Carpathia takes its rightful place as a symbol of maritime endurance and heritage. Let the canvas weave a story that spans time, celebrating the stories that shape our maritime heritage and the indomitable spirit of ships like the RMS Carpathia.

    Concept

I dreamed of becoming a ship architect, but in my life it happened differently - I became an architect of buildings and structures. And I have reached certain heights in my skill. But the passion and love for ships and boats lives in me and does not let go. So - in my life I create architecture, paint in oil, paint everything and everywhere, build models of ships (as a hobby).
As an architect, I practice traditional techniques of painting, watercolors, oil painting.
