I am Ukrainian. There is a war going on in my country now. Every day, civilians are dying, and there are children among them... The attack of the Russian occupiers has become a great grief and a difficult test for all Ukrainians. Ukraine took upon itself enormous suffering and showed courage and resilience. My country is a shield that keeps the enemy from attacking other European countries.
I worry with all my heart for the life of my compatriots, for every destroyed house in my country. Emotions and experiences prompted me to create a series of works "Unbowed". These are images, portraits of Ukrainians of different ages. They are united by love for their land, the desire to live, to be free, to preserve traditions and protect their country and loved ones from the enemy...
The painting "Unconquered" was created with oil paints on canvas in 2022, in Ukraine, during the hostilities.
