“Poppy Dew” is a picturesque work of art from the series “My Ukraine”. I was born and live in Ukraine. A series of works about Ukrainians is dedicated to the traditions and culture of my country. Female and male portraits in national costumes, images, and people's characters reflect my touching love for compatriots.
The girl who served as the model for the portrait looks like a poppy dewdrop with her tenderness. She is only five years old. Poppy is one of the most delicate plants on earth. Morning dew on a poppy is as gentle as the plant itself. She is transparent and pure, like the little heroine of my portrait.
The work was written from nature, in the style of impressionism, on high-quality linen canvas, oil paints of the English company "Winsor & Nevton".
