My zebras!
I painted my first work with zebras in 2005, when I was preparing for the project “Ah, Africa”. It was the painting that became my brand and a few years later, having toured the whole of Ukraine with an exhibition, it took a place on the billboards of America (I became the winner of the competition of the Fine Art America company.
Since then, I have been painting zebras and each of the works has its destiny.
My zebras flew over Australia, America, Africa and Europe.
Having arrived in Cyprus after the start of the war, my first work was, of course, zebras. This time they represented us, Ukrainian refugees. This work took place in the collection of a wonderful person who helped us a lot during the resettlement.
We live in Cyprus and my zebras today, this is a story about us, frozen, frozen in time, waiting for the opportunity to return to Ukraine.
