Description

I created this picture when I was on the open air in a very picturesque area near Kyiv in 2015. Winter in Ukraine is very attractive to artists. Often winter is accompanied by thaws and nature acquires interesting complex colors and shades, thawed warm colors break through the cold. In this village, where there was an open air, most of the houses are painted in different shades of blue and dark blue. This served as a good incentive to portray these lung houses against the backdrop of a thawing field behind rural courtyards. The picture contains two female figures that joyfully greet each other. In the cold season, it is so nice to exchange a warm word with a good neighbor.

Ukrainian land presents us with its limitless truly magical beauty. We only need to try to see it, feel it and try not to drown in aggression of daily life hustle, which causes greed and selfishness. Creativity helps me to get back to children's reality, genuineness. Observing, looking at the outside world to be surprised at everything, seeing, reading secret signs in the external world – everything that is indicated by form, color, texture of things. Artist preserves freshness, immediacy of perception. World retains depth, volume, expression, magic. Happy is the one who saved the ability to be surprised by anything.
