Strunjan Landscape Park is a unique, preserved corner of nature in the Gulf of Trieste, revealing images created by the sea over thousands of years. This is the place where my soul strives, missing the sea, the aromas of sea salt and lavender. The high bank impresses with its beauty and picturesqueness. It rises above the sea, creating a majestic appearance of nature. Strunjan Rock, the highest rock of the Adriatic, formed from a sheer flysch rock. It is also the only stretch of unspoiled nature on the 130 km coastline of the Gulf of Trieste between Grado in Italy and Savudrija in Croatia. The steep cliff and pebble shore at its base are completely at the mercy of the sea, wind and rain, which change the crumbling layers of rock, creating new shapes.
