Every year at the end of winter in Slovenia, the largest and most unusual festival takes place - Kurentovanje, this is part of the history of the Slovenian people and an old tradition. The main characters on it are Kurents - demons calling for spring. They are dressed in a hat and sheepskin coat made of an inside-out sheepskin, ribbons, feathers and a mask on their heads. Cow bells on a chain around the waist make very loud sounds when jumping and dancing, with such noise the Kurents see off the winter.
🎭Kurent's costume weighs almost 40 kg and it is not visible behind the mask whether it is a man or a woman. If earlier it was believed that only men had sufficient strength to wear a heavy suit and fight evil, now it has become possible for women as well.
Fearless and determined woman Kurent with a strong-willed look.
