The white water lily has different names - nymphaeum, queen of waters, flower of mermaids. It is one of the most amazing aquatic plants, attracting with its unique beauty. Dark green leaves floating on the surface of the water, in the form of a large flat saucer, are decorated with a snow-white, bewitching flower that exudes a well-tangible, delicate aroma.
A feature of water lilies is the ability of flowers to close in the evening and immerse in water. Some days, in the rain, for example, they do not appear on the surface at all. Therefore, from ancient times, the name of the water lily has come down to us - a mermaid flower. In legends, it was believed that at night the flowers of the water lily turn into mermaids who went ashore and returned to the pond in the morning.
