I have long been interested in the Jomon, Ainu, and Emishi cultures, and when I went to Hokkaido in 2020, I was inspired by the Ezo sika deer I met that showed me the supremacy of the land and space. I also saw steeplejacks swarming around the carcass of a deer at another location a little further away. In this way, I was reminded that nature circulates without waste and becomes a part of our bodies, and that eventually they too become the life and sustenance of something else. I realized again that nature is a part of us, and that we are all part of nature, and that we are all part of something else. I felt that we were originally closer to nature.
I engraved and installed the plaque myself.
