The Accumulating Rhythm Ⅲ / The Accumulating Rhythm Ⅲ , 2011, ink, watercolor, oil, alkyd on canvas, 141.4 x 162.3 x 6.1cm (55.7 x 68.9 x 2.4 in)
Rhythm of Accumulation III is a semi-abstract painting that extracts a sense of materiality from the elements of objects.
By partially leaving the fabric (cotton cloth) of the support, a strong difference in the sense of materiality is created, as if the painting were a collage.
When using paint, I try to create as many different textural differences as possible, such as by scraping, pouring, and so on.
The accumulation of these extremely different textures creates one major rhythm in the painting of the finished work.
