The series of paintings "Signs" are omens, a sign of some phenomena or objects, the presence of which predicts future events. Signs provide a connection between two events, when one of them occurs as a fact, and the second - as a consequence. Some signs do not have a real basis for predicting events based on them, but at the same time, a significant part of the signs has a real basis to one degree or another.
The signs in the paintings have a dual nature, on the one hand, the signs are material that have a plan of expression, on the other hand, they are carriers of intangible meaning, content. The main properties of a sign in pictures are the property of informativeness, signs carry meaningful information about the signified object.
