The “Under the cover of white” painting many times participated in personal and all-Ukrainian exhibitions, was printed in catalogues. This is a programmatic piece of my art. It is full of technical experiments and elements of author’s technique.
The painting was painted from life, under the impression of snow in spring, which fell surprisingly early when nothing foretold it. It melted under the sunlight as subtly, but it allowed to have a pictorial piece of art after it. The blooming flowerbed and the garden were at once covered with a fluffy layer of snow. This event impressed me with its instantaneousness, humans have no control over nature, they can be inspired by it and bent to its will. Flowers gained expressiveness, graphics, combination of contrast white and intense colours of the flowers became the symbol of the unexpectedness of the nature. No state of nature can be repeated. The balance of colours, which bizarrely connect due to specific physical and natural conditions, create originality and uniqueness of each painting pained from life. Based on such plein air paintings it is possible to say with certainty what year it was, what interesting and unusual things happened in it.
