Madeira is a floating garden surrounded by the waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The abundance of flowers and fruits is all around. But there is one place - in the very east of the island - where nature is harsh and deserted. Instead of lush greenery, the land here is covered with sand brought by wind from neighboring Sahara, and blue waves are breaking on rocks the color of milk chocolate. This is the cape of St. Lawrence.
