The beauty of a rose and its tempting smell inspired me to create this painting. I combined realism with abstraction and made the painting in an impasto style. I chose to paint it with both cold and warm hues, to highlight this balance visually in the observer's mind. These colors add sophistication and emphasize mystery. When you look at the painting, your view glides throughout the canvas, from spot to spot, absorbing the essence of this balance. The boundary-less abstract style leaves your eyes and interpretation open and wandering, sparking new emotions every time you look at it. Thus, inspiring us to look beyond the usual and ordinary and find the balance between the imagined and real worlds. The thick strokes of a pallet knife show the volume of the petals and attract the eye to look deeper.
It is an original textural impasto palette knife oil painting. The edges are painted and the painting can be hung without a frame.
The strokes done with a palette knife give volume and expression to the painted lines.
