Summer solstice - the most powerful day of the year worshipped by our forebears. The artworks of this series are made on solstice or in the next two days which are also considered powerful and special. The main subject is the sun or light itself - the pure energy which permits us to live on this planet. This artwork is made during my sailing trip in the Atlantic Ocean, so this Solstice is really very special.

Did you ever noticed that the most powerful things are the simple ones? What do people look at for a long time? Not at the paintings in galleries. At sunset, at water, at fields which go beyond the horizon. The most simple things are the most complicated in fact.
Nobody counts how many leaves are on trees. But look, what show has more spectators of all social classes? The sunset.
We react to the colors, to the harmony we see and feel. Good composition, realistic colors are all right. But I would like to speak about the energy of life. Pulsation of each moment. The power we can find in ordinary things. To make a portal, a direct access to this energy. Only in the khaos new things may be born.
