When I was creating this picture, it was spring outside and irises were blooming.
I have always loved these first spring flowers. They are so delicate and fresh that I wanted to emphasize the rough texture of the old wall.
A small old table on which there is a vase with Iris is eaten away by bark beetles, which once again emphasizes the freshness of the flower.
The whole composition of this work is built on the contrast of opposites.
