This still life has a very unusual history of its origin.
Our art teacher at the Institute, traveling through the Golden ring of Moscow and visiting various interesting and abandoned villages, came across one very old and dilapidated house.
In this long-ago abandoned house, he got all the items that are depicted in this still life.
Placing all these old and abandoned objects in our nature class, and seeing the disappointment on our faces from their contemplation, he said to us this phrase
- "A true artist should be able to see beauty, even in the simplest and most unsightly things"!!! I remembered this phrase for all my life and tried to draw this still life as beautifully as possible.
Ready to hang.
