Description

Seascape. Sea Stories - Silence Before the Storm. The storm is coming. While he's out there somewhere, far away. But now there is silence here, which suddenly appears on the sea before the storm, and the dramatic sky leaves no doubt - he will come soon.
The seascape is painted in an impressionistic manner.
A range of blue and green colors is used.
Oil on stretched canvas, 60x80cm, sides are painted, ready to hang.
I use professional quality oil paint, canvas with 3 layers of gesso, high quality varnish.

Juriy is a contemporary Russian artist who works and lives in Estonia.
His artworks are held in private collections in the Europe, US and Asia.
His main technique is oil painting, based on unusual mixture of realism and impressionism.
His favorite subject is seascape, especially during unusual states of nature. Dramatic sky and sea are his favorites. Interaction of people and animals in the environment of the city and nature.
In his works, he tries to interpret a brief form of nature surrounding us and to seize people with their emotions and feelings.
Capturing a moment and portraying it is the most important thing for an artist, in his opinion.
