Since time immemorial, creativity came from within.
The greatest fashion houses in history all based their creations upon that spark of the designers imagination.
The most treasured pieces were first formed in those iconic angular sketches of the designer, later becoming one of a kind masterpieces.
It was the mind's eye of the artist which shaped fashion, from conception to trend.
In parallel, women had to also tear down the stereotypes defined by the men of those generations, many of whom would view this painting with the primary association of the woman with the kitchen.
Fortunately times have changed and we no longer live in an era of inequality and oppression.
Unfortunately, what has now replaced that inner creativity, that divine spark of individual thought, is the hive mind of social media.
Should we allow social media trends to dictate what is now fashion, acceptable, or just? Should we give away our individuality and creativity?
My philosophy has always been that "a woman is capable of great thoughts, a crowd is not".
