So much of the beauty in our world lies within the beauty of the colours it takes on and assigns to unique and beautiful creatures. I used big strokes to present the harmonising and bold energy of the lorikeets and flowering gum, and to create an authentic texture that can never be matched. Each brushstroke almost blends into the bright pink and colder white, the warm yellow and the joyful red, to create a beautiful play of colours on the canvas.

Concept

Every painterly form I create is a story that arises as part of my lived experience, filtered through my fantasy and imagination. Thus, every form on my canvas carries a part of me. My work reflects the importance of being in the moment - feeling, experiencing and being aware of the “here and now”. At times, I move away from the richly saturated colours into a more pastel, toned down palette in order to achieve more subtle and refined combinations. I tend not to adhere to a strictly defined style - my work is always expressive, graphic, ornamental and well-balanced. Experience and love of my work allow me the freedom to experiment and create outside of any strict boundaries or style restraints. The dialogue between the artist and the viewer is created through the authenticity and meaning of every brushstroke, every shape and colour combination that I place on canvas.

In many cases, art works with a canvas stretched over a wooden frame can be displayed as is. Thin art works other than canvases are easier to frame. For any questions or concerns please chat us.

What kind of hardware should I use for hanging the artwork?

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
