In the series, my paintings become “rooms” for our inner habitations kept undisclosed by our unconscious memory. The technique I use is a collage of superimposed images: I start with an abstract painting layer, spray paint and superpose hyper-realistic oil painted images that are touched up, just as on image filters on our phones. Ultimately, through these worlds, I attempt to express a great positivity: in a society invaded by virtual images, our secrets in all their vulnerability can still be kept safe.
