Description

Todd Lehman did several series of Horizon Paintings. These were first inspired while on a flight to Europe. As he looked out the window, the sun was just beginning to show on the horizon, dividing the view into three color fields. Black Horizon No. 3 is a small oil-on-paper painting. It is framed under glass, hence the poor reflections in the framed photo, which distorts the solid black field. (View the photo of the unframed painting for a true depiction.) Many other horizon paintings were executed on large canvases.

Todd Lehman’s abstract paintings are about spaces and shapes, and about energies and visual noise—but like music and modern dance they can also be about silence and solitude. If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
