Bílina - is one of the ancient cities in the Czech Republic. Every year, the administration provides creative projects for artists and sculptors. In June of 2020, I had the opportunity to participate in the Bilina Painting Plenary.
3 amazing and unforgettable days in my life. The rainy weather of the first day did not spoil the creative mood. Participants in the open air erected painting stands on the terraces of the cottages and painted sketches to the sound of rain. With a cup of coffee and conversations, the day passed fast like lightning.
We spent the next day on the main square of the city. The artists conveyed the environment with their favorite techniques: they drew sketches, painted the paintings with oil and watercolors.
We spent the last day at the Kyselka spa and outdoor pool. The cottage by the river Bílina under the symbol of our town, Mount Boren was painted on this day.
I use canvas in a relative composition of cotton and synthetics for painting. After complete drying, I glue the canvas to hardboard using a special transparent double-sided adhesive foil. As a last point, repainted with protective varnish.
Oil painting on canvas glued to hardboard size 39×29 cm. Treated with the final varnish. Framed.
