Description

For this painting, I used a rough canvas. Its texture is easily perceived and successfully complements the overall mood of the painting. Strokes of paint on flowers look energetic, expressive. At the same time thin layers of paint on the vase and background balances the still life. The painting has intention in blue tones that complement shades of cream, soft pink and warm red-brown. The general impression of the picture is freshness, exciting rattling of subtle sound modulations. You want to look at it, return to it again and again.

I love it!

I love working with a palette knife. It allows me to bring spontaneity, energy and mystery to my paintings. The alternation of brush strokes and palette knife makes the picture emotionally rich.

Concept

Hi! I’m Olesya.

I am based in St.Petersburg, Russia. I paint nearly everyday – for me painting is a way to process and memorialize my personal experiences.

I paint in oils. My work is influenced by many styles - abstract expressionism, impressionism. I am inspired by the gorgeous nature with its landscapes and animals, a woman's face and mysterious abstractions. But really what inspires me is art itself. When I am standing in front of a painting on easel I motivated by the creative dance of brushstrokes, variety of colors and heavy texture!

I want to delight my audience the same as I am delighted by works of art. It makes me happy to see people enjoying my art.

I enjoy working on smaller panels and canvases although I have painted some very large paintings too. All my paintings are originals.

In many cases, art works with a canvas stretched over a wooden frame can be displayed as is. Thin art works other than canvases are easier to frame. For any questions or concerns please chat us.

What kind of hardware should I use for hanging the artwork?

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
