Description

The painting depicts a tiger in a relaxed pose. All his attention is directed outside the painting. He is observing something very pleasant. I show pleasure in his gaze, a soft smile under his mustache. He is very focused and doesn't notice anything around him. Is he really seeing something or is it just a dream?

Picture from the series "To Be Wild". In this series, I represent wild animals. I try to show their emotional reactions, how they manifest themselves in everyday life. They have their own character, behavior, which are very similar to human ones.

I used large brush strokes for the tiger to emphasize dynamism despite his static pose. After all, he won't lie in one place for a long time. Isn't it?

Concept

Hi! I’m Olesya.

I am based in St.Petersburg, Russia. I paint nearly everyday – for me painting is a way to process and memorialize my personal experiences.

I paint in oils. My work is influenced by many styles - abstract expressionism, impressionism. I am inspired by the gorgeous nature with its landscapes and animals, a woman's face and mysterious abstractions. But really what inspires me is art itself. When I am standing in front of a painting on easel I motivated by the creative dance of brushstrokes, variety of colors and heavy texture!

I want to delight my audience the same as I am delighted by works of art. It makes me happy to see people enjoying my art.

I enjoy working on smaller panels and canvases although I have painted some very large paintings too. All my paintings are originals.

What kind of hardware should I use for hanging the artwork?

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
